I've run into the same problem, the only difference for me is the fact that I don't have a "deliver data in pages" checkbox in the accessibility tab in the preferences dialogue box. I'm using Adobe Acrobat 7 with Jaws 6.2 on Windows XP Pro. I've had difficulty in opening particularly large documents myself and could use some assistance in resolving this issue.
