Accessible music file format changer? (was Accessible CD burner soft wear with JAWS and Windows XP)

Despite strenuous effort on my part, including trying to install a
modifications file sent me by a certain program's developer/vendor, I
haven't been able to convert some of my .mp3 files from stereo to mono in
order to use them on my .mp3 player, as I'm completely deaf in one ear and
this is necessary when you're talking about ear buds or headphones.

The program I'm referring to is Easy CD/DA Extractor, and I don't need any
critical jibes about how I'm just too stupid to figure out how to use and
even modify it correctly. I've had more accessibility success with it in one
or two earlier releases, now gone because installing new ones overwrites.
But I can scarcely do anything with the current release, not to mention
adding a list of mono format alternatives in the output section. Don't want
to explain the problem, and I repeat I don't want to get dumped on. it's not
my personal fault, plus I'm dealing with some very serious health issues and
surgery and don't need the harrassment.
Sorry. I know I could just delete posts from this tormentor if he responds
to my inquiry. I'm just a little perturbed right now, and it would take too
long to revise the above. Sorry, sorry.

does anyone have any helpful suggestions? I understand that not all rip and
burn programs offer a mono option, on top of the accessibility issue.
Thanks.

I have had good results with Express Burn. It is very JAWS accessible and
easy to use. You can download it for free at:
