Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web & Technology Conference November 15-19, 2010 Dear Colleagues: We're now accepting second-round proposals for the Nov. 15-19, 2010 conference. In particular we are looking for sessions on the following novice-level topics: - Captioning for beginners - Servicing Wounded Warriors (i.e. Veterans) – a beginners session on resources, strategies & services for this growing population - The New World of Textbooks: eBooks, Book Rental, the Kindle: a review of the new technologies, current issues & concerns - AT for Dummies – a beginners guide on terminology and issues for those new to technology - Screenreaders & other Technologies for novices – hands on - Resources, strategies for the non-technical Disability Services office Sessions on other topics directed at a higher level of expertise are also welcome.
