Sounds like we have one damaged cd.
Here's what I would do.
Download the ILM Build of JAWS 6.0 from the freedom Scientific website. a 
direct link to it can be found at
ftp://ftp.freedomscientific.com/users/hj/private/WebFiles/JAWS/j600410ILM.exe
This is exactly the same version as you'll find on the cd.

After you've done this, insert your authorization cd.  Then your 
authorization code will be in your computer's registry so it's safe.
Then, install JAWS from your downloaded version, again remember this is 
exactly the same version you get on the cd, absolutely no difference 
whatsoever.

You should then be able to activate.
