Hi I got your point. Of course, I can not integrate Jaws 14 default files into Jaws 13 version. I understand it. As I said, some API: setvoiceParameter, setVoiceRate, .etc take effective for only one application. I heard that on Jaws 14, there is a keystroke and can change voice parameter for all application, so I want to know how the script for that key is implemented to get any idea, not reusing it. If you know how to set a voice parameter for all application by scripting, please let me know. Thank you in advanced. Regards, Dung Nguyen. -----Original Message----- From: jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jawsscripts-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Doug Lee Sent: Sunday, January 13, 2013 3:31 PM To: jawsscripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jawsscripts] Re: Voice parameter chaing functions Not sure what you want default.jss/jkm for JAWS 14 for, but in case you thought to run them in JAWS 13, I can tell you this is an extremely bad idea. JAWS scripts in a newer JAWS version often use functions added in that JAWS version that did not previously exist. Also, default.jss loads many other script files, and some of them load yet more script files; and any changes in those can break such an arrangement in a serious way. If you're just looking to examine the code in the JAWS 14 files, this does not apply to you of course. However, it is not clear to me whether sending out JAWS default script code is legal, as it is only available directly as part of a purchased JAWS copy or upgrade. To change voice rate on the fly, go to Jaws Help, Keystrokes, Jaws Keystrokes, and read the topic called "Change Voice Rate On the Fly".
