I'm know real scripter of course, but for what its worth, my gutt feeling though, would be that keyPressedEvent wouldn't necessarily be the function you'd wanting to be creating a specialized scratchLive version of,if it was speech feedback issues you were wanting to tweak/address. Since it would seem to me, that this would be more for if you need to be watching for particular keys to be typed to do something very specialized, that you'd be doing that? for example, I was advised to do this when I wanted certain keys to do different things, depending on what screen I was on, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: "GianniP46" <giannip46@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "JawsScriptsList" <JawsScripts@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, October 12, 2009 11:51 AM Subject: [jawsscripts] Keyboard Echo and KeyPressedEvent > Hey Guys, > In my DJ app ScratchLive, I have the keyboard echo set to none. I noticed though that If I have it set to characters, Jaws will then read the focused item as I type, but if I have it set to none, it doesn't read anything. I have to check what is focused by doing a say line. Is there a way to fix this? I don't want the keys to be echoed as I type, but I do want the focused item to be spoken as I type. I was thinking that KeyPressedEvent might have to do something with this. A few months ago, I was playing with the idea of creating an app specific KeyPressedEvent for scratchlive. > Any Ideas? > Thanks! > > Gian Pedulla > GianniP46@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > LETS! GO!
