I have never seen this behavior occasionally, I did see the opposite where a
MenuActivatedEvent occurred when a specific button got focus even though there
was no menu associated with the button.
I believe that the MenuActivatedEvent and MenuDeactivatedEvent might be called
from a different event trigger. But I would try:
1 Can both text and menu manipulation occur at the same time with this menu?
Perhaps you will need to modify both MenuDeactivatedEvent and KeyPressed to
force focus to stay within the menu when arrow keys are pressed.
2. Perhaps the system is just confused.
Hopefully this gives you something to code against.
.
Best wishes,

Hello Folks,
I am about to write some scripts for Sage Office Line, wich bases on
MS-Access. Itâs a CRM-System wich stock and facture modules.
Yesterday, I encountered a strange behavior with a Menu. When a sighted User
clicks a certain butten on the GUI, a menu becomes visible and Jaws announces
"Menu activated". Shortly after, Jaws says "Leaving Menus" and displays the
screen without the menu open, thoug its still visible vor sighted folks. When
trying to read the Menu elements with the Jaws cursor, its stuck in certain
places of the screen, never touching the still visible Menu elemens.
Has one of You experiences with Sage or this special behavior?
Best regards
Richard
