I think my debug utility was part of JLS Utilities, but exists as a
separate module and, aside from the installation of Hot keys, It is

I wrote a little helper scritp that I use for debugging, which will
accumulate lines into a string and, in response to a hot key press, will
display the string in the virtual buffer.
There are three scripts for this.
One to tell the utility what variable you want to record. It creates a
line in the script you are working on, which composes the contribution,
which includes the variable name, and it's value, and appends it to the
debug string.
There is a version of that for integer, and another for strings, and a
third for just recording a text comment , so you can note that a
particular point in the code was reached without recording a variable
value. So, it adds the necessary line to the script for capturing the
value, and is marked with a special notation, so it is easy to remove
once
you get the problem solved.
A second scritp for enabling and disabling recording.
A third for displaying the results in the virtual viewer.
I find it very handy, and easy to use.
I like it, and offered my money back if I wasn't absolutely delighted,
but
I was, so I kept my money.

I find it easier to use AppendToClipboard instead of SayString. After
the
test, the information can be pasted into Notepad, etc. and studied.
