Hi Paul,
Having read your message and Iain Lackie's reply, I took a
quick look at the site with Jaws 12 and IE8 and found that
although Jaws did fall silent until the page was loaded, if
I pressed the tab key after a few minutes of silence jaws
would begin reading the page again, as the cursor would be
somewhere around the language selection box.
