This is correct at the moment, although I have been for some time
suggesting to Freedom Scientific this needs to be changed for reasons
which I hope are obvious. There are actually a number of issues with
Word tables and jaws 9 which they are working on.

I want to check something before making comment.
In the new beta version of JAWS, when navigating through a table, JAWS
gives
column and row information before reading cell contents and I would like

have this the other way round. Is there any way of controlling this?
if
not I will submit this as an issue on the beta form.
