Hi John
Someone recommended me the Canon Pixma ip 4000 but I have no direct
experience of it myself but it might be worth a look. I run an Epson c900
home colour laser and am very happy with it, they cost around the £250 mark.

following features:
Reasonable price
Easy to load paper and envelopes
Easy to tell when on or off, I.a. rocker switch or similar
Colour printing
Quiet in use
Economic to use and replace cartridges
Easy to install and compatible with XP and Jaws 7
