i've done it so we'll see but it's dreadful that we should have a new
version ov jaws which is unuseable in moy view because of the stacato
responsiveness and then we can only resolve it in this way! sadly, they
break something again in a newer version. i'd have thought this would have
been picked up by their beta testers!

Sounds like this is what I mentioned the other day about 2 tone jaws.
If you go to your default config, open the text processing manager, and tab to capitalisation. I have changed this to none, and it certainly takes care of much of this new way they've set the voice up.
If you need a step by step, let me know.

but then roger how do you get rid of the dreadful stacato speech whenever the screen reads quotes, links or listboxexs it's driving me mad so i'm using 5.1 instead!
