Hi Paul
You might try looking in the Device Manager which you will find under SYSTEM
in the control panel , press control tab until you find the hardware tab and
you should find the device manager,where you will find all your drives
listed .
after which you could try your add hardware wizard to see if it will
reinstall your cd drive, hope that helps. good luck Steve

Having gone into My Computer, I couldn't find my D or E drives.
All I found was the floppy drive, Main Paul C and control panel.
Can anyone please tell me how I try to locate these missing drives.
