Keith that's a good alternative to copy and paste. For some reason I don't
have a dictionary installed with Word, so I can't do that, but I have copied
a message into Agent, my news reader, spell-checked it there, then copied it
back again, before now.

I apologise if this has already been mentioned, but I regret I haven't been
following thread.
But, re NotePad, I use it all the time, although I have a copy of Word.
If I want to spell-check a Notepad document, I cheat, and change the txt
extension for a doc one. After acknowledging the prompt that changing a
filename may make it unreadable, or words to that effect, I open the new doc
file. Sometimes I have to bypass three attempts at preventing me from
opening the file, but then I get in, and run my spell checker.
Once again, I apologise if what I have written above isn't relevant to this
thread.

You've got it back-to-front, Dorothy. You can't use a spell checker with
notepad or HJPad. If you want this, you have to use a proper word processor
program like Word.
My original reply about this was to enable someone to edit a passage from
another program which didn't allow such things easily. I doubt that you
would ever need to do this yourself.

I still do not understand how this notebook can replace your ever doing a
spell-check. .do you mean you type an Email in say Express and then
shove it this notebook thing. and then what? it does by itself? If so tell

out in Kesi as unless the other party has it they cannot open it. You
