I have noticed that when pressing the control key to silence
JAWS, it sometimes takes a couple of seconds to take effect.

Looking in the configuration screens of JAWS shows me that JAWS
only resets the synthesizer every two seconds.

Question: While changing this reset interval to be shorter, like
one second, or a half second will probably make JAWS more
responsive, will it significantly increase the load on my
computer's processor?

Thanks, all comments welcome.
