Dear Maggie,

If you want to disable Windows Messenger from Outlook 2002 you should be
able to find the relevant controls in Options under the Tools menu.
This is a multi-page dialogue box so to move from one page to another
you press control tab. The last "page" is called something like
"miscellaneous" (I use the Italian version so the translation might not
be precise).It should have something about message or messenger services
if you tab down it which would allow you to deactivate Windows
Messenger.

The options may well be different in other versions of Outlook or
Outlook Express.

Best wishes

Robert

Hi Dorothy and Tiddy,

My kids have done the same to both their grandmothers' computers,
thereby=20
causing huge annoyance. I tried to remove it from my mother-in-law's=20
computer when I was there last week, by going in to control panel and
then=20
'add or remove programmes'. No sign of it there.

Tiddy, if you could remember what you do in Outlook to remove it, I
would be=20
eternally grateful, and my kids might stand a chance of remaining "in
the=20
will!"

Thanks,

Maggie
