How do you want to chat when you are off line?
Do you want to do voice or text chat or both?
Some chat clients will allow you to send messages to users that are
offlline and will deliver them when they are online again (e.g. ICQ)
but you need to be online to send those messages.
Windows messenger that comes native with windows xp may be a good one
to start with as jaws comes with scritps for it by default. If you
want to do voice chat primarily, skype is a good option. itt works
out of the box with jaws and other screenreaders but there are jaws
scritps also that will enhance functionality and accessibility some.
