Thanks Flor. One would have thought that this would have been taken into consideration when they compiled the thing? I guess they could have just been considering navigation with Hyperlinks etc. Another strange twist to this, is I downloaded the latest version from blindprogramming yesterday, which is over a meg in size, but as far as I can see no hyperlinks. Apart from being slow initially, there are no crashes. All I can think of is there's some formatting in the old version which just isn't going down too well. Think though in future I'll read large documents as text, and use the 'Find facility to navigate. There is some sort of limit on the size of Word files one can comfortably open and use. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Matthews" <mark.matthews53@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <blindtech@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 23, 2004 10:55 AM Subject: [jaws-uk] MS Word issue Hi guys...running MS Word 2002, with JFW 4.51. Yesterday when reading through the old Scripting manual updated for 3.7, word suddenly threw up a dialog advising that there was insufficient memory, and the action wouldn't be able to be reversed. The interesting thing is however, I wasn't told what the action was, (or at least JFW didn't pick it up). I said no anyway, and from there on seem to lose complete control over the system...leaving me no option but to re-start. Another thing was navigating the file was excessively slow. I know in versions perhaps prior to 5 this was the case, but this was unreal!! Its also the only file I've had trouble with, which suggests to me it could have problems. Might it be worth me converting it to plane text and seeing what the deal is then?
