E'r'r'r'r'r'r'r'r'r. Just deleted a long reply before sending it. Anyway here's
another version, albeit much more concise-

Punctuations are controlled from voice profiles and not in settings centre.

  a. You need to create a new voice profile:
-go to insert j>language>voice profiles>create new.
-set your new voice preferences in the dialog and choose all for punctuations.
-once done hit save as and name your new voice profile.

  b. You need to set the new voice profile as the MS Word default voice profile:
-open Word and focus on it.
-go to insert j>language>voice profiles>for Microsoft Word and choose the new
voice profile to be used with Word.
  Job done.

On a separate note, I think it would be a good idea if voice profiles are
somehow integrated in settings centre.

  Amro

  Subject: [jaws-uk] Jaws punctuation

  Hi,

I have installed Jaws 12.522 and I went to the settings centre to change the
punctuation to all in Microsoft word. The punctuation was most for all
programs. I just want it to be all for Microsoft word. When I went to
change it, it said one has to go to the default settings to change that
setting. Isn't there a way I can change it just for that one program? As
far as I could see in the help files it says that the settings can be
individually changed but I can't seem to be able to do it.
