I don't have OE installed but if you go to menu bar>view, and look for the
option to show messages in groups and uncheck it that will sort it. I
remember this option being somewhere in current view submenu or arrange by
submenu. If you do decide to keep your messages grouped, then it's right
arrow to expand and left arrow to collapse a group of messages.
