Hi Doris,

The best people to give you absolute clarification of the
Dongle situation, together with costs, are Sight & Sound.
Tel: 0160 479 8070.

George.

Re: Jfw4.0 with xp

Hi,

I have followed some of this thread. I myself have not yet
upgraded jfw beyond version 5.x as demoing the later
versions has not made me feel I am missing a whole lot and
as I also do not like the ILM authorization scheme.

However, I was up to now under the impression that the user
is given a choice of either the ILM authorization or a
hardware dongle for copy protection. If or when I upgrade, I
would very definitely want a hardware dongle for
authorization as I work on multiple computers and also
change hardware around fairly frequently.

Am I to understand that the hardware dongle is no longer an
option for authorization? I very much hope it still is and
would appreciate clarification on this as well as
information as to whether there is any additional cost
involved with the dongle authorization.

Thanks much.

Cheers,

Doris
