[jaws-uk] Re: JAWS 11 has been released

Strangely, I found Brian's messages were blank too in Outlook Express but when I read someone's reply to them I could read his original message.

I wonder if it's to do with the Word version I'm using which is Word 2000?

Anyway, now I have no problems with the plain text.

Best wishes,

Joan.

Hi Kevin, it's an encoding issue. Why this happens with some posters and
not
others I don't know. I would have thought that encoding would be set by
default to the standard in whatever part of the world and version of
windows
it is. As for the jibberish messages from Brian are concerned, if you go
to
the view menu and to encoding, and set to western european windows
they'll
display properly.
                   John.

incomprehensible.

Brian,

Both this, and your last message were blank. Sounds like
our old problem of silent speech access has struck again.
