[jaws-uk] Explain "=20" ?

Hi George and all,

Not a world crisis, but can anyone explain the inserts below of =3D20? =
For
example, right after Georges' name?

Is this a graphic or emoticon thing that jfw is interpretting as =3D20, =
or
what?

I've seen something like this in webpages and I think it's related to
the source code or how it is written, but to appear randomly in e mails
has just got me curious.

Sorry about spelling .  Next time I am in Eastbourne I will demand
better=3D20 faacilities then.! the facts are a bit different you know

I last visited we coldnot use a mobile and the TV was  shaky and even in
a car the radio woldnot get Radio four. If we have bad weather they will
