Jim, any way of telling what prog is generating this message.

Sounds like some kind of fire wall. Doesn't sound like a registry cleaner.

May be you can get into th task manager, alt-control-delete and see if you can find what is running.

Brian and List,

Firstly Brian. I sent 2 e-mails to Redcure on Saturday with no response to
date.

Re: This message has been appearing on my screen for the past couple of days at hourly intervals. I've tried searching on Wikepedia for this string but
with no success.

"An application is trying to access the Internet. The operating system is
trying to establish UDP connection with remote IP address 192.16
8.1.255.137. Do you want to allow this communication?
Local address: 192.16 8.1.1.02:0
Remote address: 192.16 8.1.255.137
Connection UDP
Direction Out.

Even though I check the "Don't show me this message again" button, the next
time the message appears that box is unchecked.

Any boffins out there in JAWS land have any theories?

Jim Williams
