On an admitedly small sample here we found quite a few monitors gave incorrect DDID information! The printed specifications was also often at variance with the DDID and what we found out impirically! As far as I can see DDID can never tell the whole story as the actual maximum scan rate on some/all? monitors depends on resolution and there is no provision for supplying maximum scan rates for individual resolutions AIUI Chris Evans -- CJE Micro's / 4D 'RISC OS Specialists' Telephone: 01903 523222 Fax: 01903 523679 chris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/ 78 Brighton Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 2EN The most beautiful thing anyone can wear, is a smile! --- To alter your preferences or leave the group, visit //www.freelists.org/list/iyonix-support Other info via //www.freelists.org/webpage/iyonix-support
