0.85's BBC ticker seems to have stuck itself on 6 April 2010 though some
other tickers do seem to work. There are some which can 'freeze' 0.85
such as slashdot and the current Beeb news feed at
feeds.bbc1.co.uk/news/rss.xml .
!Ticker's default file at the beeb is indeed dated 6.4.2010 as using its
URL in a browser will show.

I stopped using it a while ago as presumably the BBC moved their file and
for the aforesaid freezes.
You may get a better response from c.s.a.apps or the maintainer.
