On occasion I get the following error message from the desktop during

Untick "Act as Router" in the networking settings.

I wonder why this error occurs. has the router failed to recognise
that the Iyonix as been turned off or has the router address been
saved by the Iyonix.

Short: It's because you've ticked things which you shouldn't!

Long: That tick box tells the machine to route packets between two local networks which it may be attached to, which conflicts with the default gateway setting to route all non local packets through your ADSL router to the internet. Therefore these settings clash.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

It comes up regularly.
