I have been trying out the compiled version of the SCSISoftWD33C93 driver. It could not recognize the fact that there was a podule present. I am used to this type of behaviour with the card and the original old driver when using it on my RiscPC's. I have to use Podule 0 to get it to work. Using the RiscPC 4way backplane I couldn't try podule 0 position, so I edited a bit of the initialising code to change the default from 0 to 3 if the podule search fails. I now get: *devices Device Type Capacity Vendor Product Revision 0:0.0 0:1.0 0:2.0 0:3.0 0:4.0 0:5.0 0:6.0 0:7.0 Host ACORN SCSI expansion 1.14 which is a welcome change. However I can't get any extra devices to be found so I may not have modified enough yet. :-( It's possible it hasn't actually put the proper base address in place and/or that the Host on 7 is simply assumed because it's the only place for it. I have many questions but I will keep it to a few. Does the SCSIFS on the IYONIX support ADFS, and/or FAT harddrives? I have been experiencing IYONIX reluctance to restart with the harddrives connected, though on the RiscPC the identical layout is OK. Any ideas in this department? I actually had hot restart problems a while ago for some reason and I had to change my keyboard to cure it. I'm still on 5.11, but will upgrade as soon as the overseas sales is sorted out.
