Since it is a java applet, this may be the cause of the trouble. I also could
not make a connection with an allow all rule in place.

  Hi Bob,

I have tried the link from Belgium and it doesn't work either. With a network
monitor I see indeed an outgoing TCP request towards port 5050, but the other
site reject the connection with a RST. So, maybe your protocol definition is
correct but there is a problem with the site...

  Stefaan

    Hi,

Many libraries in North America now use a JAVA web interface to their
library catalogues. It is from Dynix and called WebPAC. It uses port 5050.
I have defined a protocol definition (obviously incorrectly) and opened it
under ISA but still seem
unable to connect (I receive an "error connecting to server message"). I
was wondering if someone has a solution for this?

    Typical link
