front page client cannot publish to IIS

client - win2k PRO w/ Front Page 2000
Server - win2k Adv Srv w/ SP 2 and Front Page Server Extensions 2000
ISA - Win2k Adv Srv w/ SP 2 (no ISA SP)
Problem:
When I try to publish from my Front Page Client to the default web site in
IIS, it says that Front Page Server Extensions are not installed. THEY
ARE!
I can publish to IIS using ftp, but I'm curious what is causing the
incorrect message.
