Hi all,
Please help me to fix the following problem as I have more than four days
stuck to it and I could not fix it till now... my situation as the
following:
1- The actual case is: I have ISA server working as web poxy for my users
using IP address 10.0.0.37 and port 8888..
2- My users devided to Two Categories of IPs:
a- LAN users with IPs 10.0.x.x
b- WAN and dialup users with IPs 10.x.x.x
3- All My System including ISA server behind PIX firewall to protect my
system "LAN and WAN from outsiders..
3- All my users use the ISA server on their browser setting to allow them to
get to the internet.
5- for more than a year the system works fine... but nowadays I noticed that
the WAN and dialup users cannot use the browser to get to the internet while
they can send and receive their mail, pinging the ISA server, telnet to a
router... etc.
Only the LAN users can connect to the internet..
the problem only with the Browsing of the internet and only for the WAN and
dialup users while My LAN users work properly...
I changed the port number of the ISA server from 8888 to 8585 and I got a
surprise...all my system "LAN users and WAN users start working fine" but
for about 2 hours and then the old problem started again.....
So I am thinking that the problem with ports...
So I want to reset that port to make it free and to disconnect all the users
which connected to it and restart it again .. maybe it will work ...
What do you think???
Finally sorry for bothering you with my long mail...

Best regards,,

Magdy
