I think after bashing my head against a wall that was just a silly mistake,
exactly as you say, that was on a client behind the ISA. I found an article
and need to fix that issue differently.

However, I still cannot see the server from "outside". If I type in
http://x.x.x.x (the external IP of the ISA) I get a page not found. Nothing
seems to show in the logs or the event log, am I missing something obvious?
Do I need a packet filter too? Does having a packet filter for port 80 (so I
can browse from the ISA) cause a conflict?

Any suggestions welcome!

Chris.

Are you testing the web publishing rule from behind ISA?

I have an ISA configured as a test, I have internal clients able to access
theweb but I can't publish my web server.

I used the web publishing wizard to create an entry as in Dr. Tom's book but
when I try to hit the site I get a message that the conenction was refused
by the ISA.

I also have an error in the event log that says it was unable to create a
packet filter due to a conflict between the LAT and the Routing table. I'm
pretty sure the LAT is ok and is accurate, not sure how or what to check on
the routing table.

As this is a test network I have no DNS running, it is all by IP address,
could this be an issue?

thanks for any help you acn offer

Chris.
