A shot in the dark:
1) can you ping and internal fqdn's and netbios names?
2) Is WINS in the picture?

        Hi

The ISA External ISA NICâs on both sides have NETBIOS over TCP/IP
disabled. Could this have something to do with it? What could I risk if I
enable them ?

        Thanks

        William

        Hi William,

ISA Server doesn't apply firewall policy to VPN connections, so its not
ISA Server that's causing the problem.

        HTH,

        Tom

                http://www.ISAserver.org

                Hi All

I need some urgent help here.

So I VPN into a network protected by ISA. I authenticate ok, I
can use RDP , ping and other basic stuff.

I need to establish an ODBC connector from the remote VPN
client to the SQL server on the ISA machine. I cannot seem to get to create the
ODBC. I tried both with Windows authentication and SQL SA login. I keep getting
an error which effectively tells me server not found.

What do I need to do. Must I open up something on ISA?

                Any help really appreciated

                William
