My guess is that the web proxy logging just grabs the cs-username from the
HTTP headers when the client authenticates itself to the web proxy service.
The firewall client authentication is not HTTP-- the ISA box has to
authenticate fw clients to local accounts on the box or a trusted domain.
The ISA box itself is authenticating the user's domain credentials via the
"MYDOMAIN\Domain Users" membership of the local box's "Users" group.

Firewall is member of my domain. Users have domain user accounts, and logon to their workstations as such. I have no "anonymous" rules, thus all user access is granted based upon username or group affiliation.
There are only 3 local usernames on my Firewall, these being Admin, Guest & TSInternetUser...

Could this have anything to do with the fact that "Ask unauthenticated users for identification" is not enabled for my outgoing WEB requests?
I believe at one stage I decided that because I don't have any ANONYMOUS rules, it was unnecessary to enable this. Is it a best practice to possibly enable it?

Not quite sure I worded my subject correctly...
I recall many moons ago asking why ISA reports all traffic that is received via the Firewall Client/Firewall Service as %MachineName%\%UserName% instead of %DomainName%\%UserName%, as it correctly does for traffic received via the WEB Proxy service.
I'm stumped if I can recall the reply I got, so if someone could please oblige I would appreciate it.
Also, would this have been fixed in ISA2004?
