Right, that's publishing exchange rpc/http, but not through ISA Isa's a whole new ball game as the rpc endpoints at the isa server, and ISAdoes all the http/rpc gubbins. Stop trying to do things before you've read up on them, it'll make life a lot easier. You need to read up on publishing exchange rpc/http through an ISA Server...not just exchange S -----Original Message----- From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2005 11:28 PM To: ISA Mailing List Subject: [isalist] RE: Tom Shinder http://www.ISAserver.org Steve, Exchange, example: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/exchange/guides/E2k3RPCHTTP Dep/1583ab17-f7d1-41c1-ba52-37ec276e3644.mspx Andrew -----Original Message----- From: Steve Moffat [mailto:steve@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2005 8:15 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: Tom Shinder http://www.ISAserver.org Microsoft Exchange documents, or, Microsoft ISA documents??? -----Original Message----- From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2005 9:13 PM To: ISA Mailing List Subject: [isalist] RE: Tom Shinder http://www.ISAserver.org Okay let me rephrase that. Is Tom's method similar to his OWA on ISA 2004? The FBA happens at the ISA server, the RPC over HTTP method on ISA 2004 looks like he's doing all the RPC work at the ISA level. Microsoft's documents show to do all the work at the Exchange level. SSL is SSL is SSL is SSL all the way down the line. It doesn't matter if it's serving OWA, RPC/HTTP or your favorite banking phishing site. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Andrew English [mailto:andrew@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 03, 2005 14:24 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Tom Shinder http://www.ISAserver.org The principal behind your RPC over HTTP on ISA is that similar to OWA SSL were you are having ISA handle all the RPC over HTTP stuff? Under Microsoft's information they ask you to install RPC over HTTP and add the PRC Proxy registry settings to Exchange were as you do it on the ISA server.
