http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- Use the SBS wizard, sets everything up for you. Find the Internet Connection Wizard (CEICW) in the things to do list and run it. It will ask you a few questions and then automagically set everything up for you. Viola. Never read any 100 page whitepaper or did much with DNS. The only DNS entry required is the external one that points to the FQDN that you entered during the wizard process. When using SBS always use the wizards they really do work.. The majority of problems I see is people not opening the port on their ADSL routers, which as you say you have done. ### Note: Remember to set the Time Service back to Automatic each time you run CEICW -----Original Message----- From: isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:isalist-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ISA Sent: Saturday, 5 August 2006 2:43 AM To: isalist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [isalist] RPC / Http http://www.ISAserver.org ------------------------------------------------------- Can anyone tell me what the difference is with RPC/http with SBS 2003 behind a simple Linksys router and RPC/http with Exchange behind an ISA 2004 server? After configuring the default ports on the Linksys, everything just works great. No filters, rules or policies. With ISA 2004, you have to read a 100 page whitepaper and pop down a slip DNS etc. Sorry if I sound ignorant.....again.
