Protocol Analyzer

I need a recommendation on a protocol analyzer (aka packet sniffer). Can
someone please make some recommendations? We have 17 schools networked to the
central office. We have multiple T1s and fiber runs also. Only IP goes across
WAN links, however ipx and ip run at the local sites.
