The error you are getting means that Outlook Express was not able to find the 
email server. Perhaps the active directory is not set up correctly? If you are 
not hosting your own email then your active directory will need to be setup as 
company-name.local not company-name.com and your DNS server will need 
forwarders.

Hi all,

I have Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D on outlook express client 
when clients connecting to ISA server.
I didn't had this error when I use domain name in Active Directory with  this 
form just "COMPANY-NAME", but I have that erreor code for POP3 and SMTP with 
"CPMANY-NMAE.COM" domain name .
Win98 and XP clients are the same.

My server configuration is:
  windows advanced server 2k and sp4.
  ISA server 2000 enterprise with sp1.
  Dial Up connection for internet.
  I dont have Exchange server.
  and I installed Active directory "COMPANY-NAME.COM" on my stand alone   server

My client configuration is:
  win98 or XP
  I installed MSPCLNT on cleints
