Don't know about Kirk but I have a destination set created that maps through external DNS to an IP address on my external NIC. This IP address is not being used for any other web sites although it is being used for other protocols. The IP address I'm using for OWA is not the default IP on the external NIC, but an additional one that was added. The ISA server does recognize this IP and is using it successfully for other protocols. Exactly how are you making the external request? Exactly how is the destination set made? I have our ISA server on 1 box, our Exchange on another. Within our network, if we enter in the //servername/exchange or //IPaddress/exchange we log into OWA, no problem. From the outside world it fails. I have gone thorough Tom's book checklist: Exchange Server is a SecureNAT client The screen shots in Toms article are configured for our network On Exchange I see Exchweb, public and Exchange under default web site, and they are active Authentication Methods are set at basic, integrated Authentication domain is set User accounts enabled Destination set created using our external IP address we use, adding destinations for exchange, public and exchweb as per book web publishing rule created using destination set created above redirection to our exchange servers IP address Nothing. Any thoughts on where to look?
