I just installed ISA Enterprise on a server and find that I'm unable to
connect to my DSL to gain access to the Internet. I could do this prior to
installing ISA, but not now. I navigate to Policy Elements and attempt to
create a dial up account and get an error stating that the Server Control
service isn't available. I attempt to start the service and get an error
stating that Windows could not start the microsoft isa server control on the
local server.
Am I missing something here? I'm sure that my problems revolve around the
service not being started. Can anyone advise on how to troubleshoot this?
TIA. Any response is appreciated.

I was tryiing to follow both articles for setting up on DSL & Cable modem. I
originally tried the dsl doc but was thrown for a loop after the install
because I wasn't sure about this 3rd adapter connection that was created
with the APIPA assigned to it.
I finally get ISA installed. I'm now having a hard time getting the ISA
Server Control services to start. I'm also unable to dial up to my PPOE
connection. Help is appreciated.

Two notes:
1. Those IP addresses are examples only. The IPs you use are determined by
your ISP.
2. There's also another tutorial on isaserver.org that deals specifically
with DSL setups.

I'm preparing to install ISA on my home w2k network and have a couple of
questions in regards to the tutorial for "Configuring the ISA interfaces".
It states to add these IP addresses to the external NIC:
123.123.123.170
255.255.255.248
123.123.123.169

I use adsl so I'm wondering if this will cause any problems when I go and
install my pppoe software onto this server and connect my dsl? Anyone have
experience with this?
