Hi Candice,

Message flow:

SMTP client
To
SMTP Server
To
ISA Server
To
SMTP Relay
To
Exchange Server

Your setup might be different :-)

Subject: [isalist] Message Flow ISA, Active Directory and Exchange

http://www.ISAserver.org

We have put together a test bed with ISA Firewall, Exchange 2000, Active
Directory and a couple of clients.

We're trying to get a handle on the message flow for a better
understanding of the complete picture.

Can you tell me where I might find a diagram or flowchart showing
message
or data flow through these sytems from beginning to end, when a message
is
sent or received (from the internet, thru firwall, Exchange etc.)?

Any help would be appreciated.
