OK, I'll accept that. Then, is there a tool to read these text files into SQL at a later date? ISA SQL logging, is done "per-entry", while text logging is performed in "batches". This means that for every single loggable event, ISA must: 1. make a call to the ODBC connection 2. authenticate to the SQL Server 3. dump a single log entry to the proper log table ..as opposed to text logging, which: 1. makes a call to the local Windows file system 2. dump a bunch of entries to the log In either case, if ISA encounters errors while writing to the log, it will stop serving requests until logging can resume. I will guarantee you that you'll see this far more often while logging to SQL. I followed the article on ISAserver.org and I can test the ODBC connection fine, but when I configure the logging and restart the service I get an error indicating I don't have permissions. This is a remote SQL box, do I have to configure the services to start under another user account or...something? Any help is appreciated. Tx.
