The only way to effectively deal with popup windows is to disable scripting. While this poses some problems for yourself and internet users, it is truly a way to stop those nasty popup windows. Shall we talk about which sits offer the most popup windows? I don't think so, since most corporations would not allow those sites. However, many companies have started to use popup windows for advertising. I don't surf with scripting on at all. I have a machine away from the primary network to surf with. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Harrison [mailto:jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 10, 2002 12:50 PM To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] Re: Is there a way to block popup advertisements http://www.ISAserver.org Unfortunately, no. IE will create the popup window before validating that it can make the connection, so if you're blocking that site, you'll get a popup with an ISA refusal message.
