Is UTP/ Wireless Combo feasible?

We have a 100mb fibre/UTP network throughout the school. Two areas, the 2 Art
Rooms and 2 D&T work areas are not currently cabled. One room adjacent to
these areas has a fibre link to an Allied Telesyn FS709FC Fast Ethernet Switch
which serves 20 computers in that Room.
Is it physically possible to have computers in the Art and D&T Rooms with
wireless network cards connecting to the Main Server via a Receiver attached to
one of the spare sockets on this Switch?
We don't want to put in more UTP because this area is to undergo significant
renovations within the next two years, yet the teachers are crying out for
access to the Server and Internet.
