Hi All,

I have deployed a number of ISA servers on a satellite network for branches
country wide.
I draw reports on a daily basis without any problems.

The issue I have is with the most recent ISA server which I have installed
in our DMZ to replace Gauntlet.
For some reason the reporting function show successful but with no output
when trying to view the reports in IE.
I have checked the log files and they are generated.

Has anyone had the experienced similar issues with reporting?

Your assistance is most appreciated

BM__Toc511119991Q. I cannot seem to draw reports for the current day. It
creates them but I can't seem to open and view them. All previous reports
(of the days before)can be opened and viewed though.

ISA Server creates reports from log summaries. The summaries are created at
1230AM and the reports are created from those summaries. So, even if you
were to tell it to run a report *now*, it won't be able to give today's data
until 1230AM the next day.

BM__Toc511120188Q. Is it possible to run a report on today's usage and logs?
I just tried to get a report run for today. I set the report generation to
immediate, set the period to today. The report appears to have been
generated successfully (status 0) but when I try to open the report up under
the Monitoring/Reports/Whatever container, The cursor just briefly turns
into an hourglass and nothing happens. I try to save the report to the hard
drive. I go thru the Save As dialog box, but no file gets generated.

The reports are based on "log summaries" which are derived from the logs. In
the Monitoring Configuration/Logs folder, you right click on the Logs
folder, go to Properties, and then click on the Log Summaries tab, and make
sure the "Enable daily and monthly summaries" is enabled.

Even though the logs are updated throughout the day, the log summaries are
created at 1230AM each day. Wait until after 1230AM and then try to create
the report again.

Check the \Microsoft ISA Server\ISASummaries folder to see the list of
summaries that have been created.

wrong?

Make sure that you are actually generating the reports and not just looking
in the 'Monitoring/Reports' section.

To generate reports, do the following:

· Go to 'Monitoring Configuration' -> 'Report Jobs'

· Right click and select 'New > Report Job..'

· Fill out the wizard (Start report generation: Immediately)

· Wait a few seconds.

Now go back to the 'Monitoring' -> 'Reports' section and there should be
reports. One under each (Summary, Web Usage, etc...)
