Agreed, after reading of other's exploits with attempting to do this, I
would never even try it. I was just pointing out that I would never
design a network without at least one DC on the local segment. Then
again, most of my links are cable-modem right now. If the weather
changes, we get outages.

True, but as Tom pointed out, combining ISA with a DC is a sure recipe
for disaster.
The SBS folks literally spend years perfecting this combination -
there's no reason to believe anyone here can do it
better/faster/easier/deeper/longer...

You really should have at least one DC on every segment of your network.
Then, if your link to the other site goes down, you will still be up and
running.

But do you think it's better to add a domain controller on site 1 near
of Isa Server? I prefer to leave DC on Site 2 but I'm not sure if it's
necessary for this scenario move a DC to Site 1.
