Hi Paul,

the internal and external network adapters MUST be on DIFFERENT network
id's. So, your config will definitely not work.

More info on www.isaserver.org learning zone ;-)

Subject: [isalist] ISA Multihomed server same IP segment

http://www.ISAserver.org

Sorry I"m new to ISA server any help would be much appreciated, thanks in
advance.

I have a W2k server multihomed on the same IP address segment.
For instance I want to have the internal adapter configed as 10.100.1.2
and the outside adapter configed as 10.100.1.3 the outside adapted would
then be connected to a router that eventually connects to an internet
backbone ( so this would be my default gateway). What I need to know, is
I'm essentially trying to use the ISA server as a network sniffer passing
all client traffic to the inside adapter (this would be the clients
default gateway) then having it go to the outside adapter and connect to
the router without having to change the router configs, is this possible?
When I try the the ISA Server does not seem to want to route the packets?

What would really be appreciated would be either a brief explanantion as
to if this would work, and/or a pointer to a web resource that can explain
this scenario in further detail to me ?

Thanks again
