Well, I'm glad I sit on the only noticeable ISP left in Quebec that has unlimited upstream bandwidth, no filtered TCP level ports (where's their open port button?), provides static IPs and allows me to run servers on them. Kids, read what's in the wall of text before you click I Agree. -- the off topic braying and neighing of barnyard animals follows -- With the venue of Trusted Computing (urgh), there will be a day where people decide what I can do with my machine and only allow me to do specific, "trusted" things with it. That day, I'll be running something like a Pegasos with a free OS. Bleh. *puts on tinfoil hat* -----Message d'origine----- De : Jim Harrison [mailto:Jim@xxxxxxxxxxxx] Envoyé : 31 octobre 2005 11:05 À : [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Objet : [isalist] RE: ISA Msg Boards - Don't do this again - anyone http://www.ISAserver.org Could well be; with the recent spate of "how do I get around policies?" questions, it sounded legit. Your freedom is limited by the AUP you agreed to when you started paying the ISP bill. It's their; not your Internet connection. You have an obligation to yourself to read the ISP policies before you sign up. For instance, my ISP doesn't filter anything - I get to see the Internet in all its nastiness. ------------------------------------------------------- Jim Harrison MCP(NT4, W2K), A+, Network+, PCG http://isaserver.org/Jim_Harrison/ http://isatools.org Read the help / books / articles! ------------------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: Alexandre Gauthier [mailto:gauthiera@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, October 31, 2005 06:56 To: [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Subject: [isalist] RE: ISA Msg Boards - Don't do this again - anyone http://www.ISAserver.org Perhaps he is just trying to give out Shameless Plugs (tm) for that website. Because unless we're in china, I doubt any ISP would be so barbaric to block such a website, while leaving things like myspace.com unscathed. There is no justice in this world :P (If my ISP was to censor contents, I'd change, or run freenet more intensively. Where did my freedom go?) -----Message d'origine----- De : Amy Babinchak [mailto:amy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Envoyé : 31 octobre 2005 09:30 À : [ISAserver.org Discussion List] Objet : [isalist] RE: ISA Msg Boards - Don't do this again - anyone http://www.ISAserver.org From the sender. Here is the message sent by hossein: -------------------------------------------------- Hello excuse me that i sent this message private,i didn't find what i want in message boards. I'm a DSL service provider manager. I decided to use ISA Server 2004 for the purpose of caching, therefore I set my clients ip as Internal network, and I enabled caching as usual configs. Now it caches, makes report and working properly. My problem is that my Bandwith provider, has blocked a speceific site ,(www.orkut.com). many of my clients want access to this site,so i decided to use a Proxy Server(ip/port) to get this site from. In the ISA web chaining,i could redirect http sites to the desired proxy server, but the problem is that the www.orkut.com is https. it seems ISA web chaining does'nt work on non-http web sites. how can i redirect https sites to proxy servers. best regards hos_khosravi@xxxxxxxxx -------------------------------------------------- To view this private message, visit: http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_pm&d=R&t=00002528 Message Board: http://forums.isaserver.org/ultimatebb.cgi Please do not reply to this email.
