I have an ISDN dial-up connection which is dynamically assigned an IP address. I'm using a third-party tool to get email via POP and forward it via SMTP to my Exchange server (this tool runs on the same machine). I want Exchange to be able to send emails out via SMTP. In addition, the DNS service is used to resolve external IP addresses for the LAN. Currently, I've the Firewall Client installed on the server. Has anybody an idea how I have to adjust my configuration so that I don't need that client on my server? Oh btw, the mail server publishing wizard of ISA greys out the checkbox for the SMTP out connection... Thanks.
