I stand corrected. I called the company and they released Surrogate Socket
5.0 about a week ago. For anyone else that has my similar problems there is an
eval out located at:http://download.cornerpostsw.com/ss5/ss5_isa.exe Thanks for
the responses.

Paul, We use Surrogate Socket for NT4 on a w2k server. It has worked fine.
I have no complaints about that product. We use ISA for everything that we
can, but Surrogate Socket will work fine. With the NT4 version you may have
to tweak it a bit, call CornerPost and ask for Ryan, he can tell you exactly
how to do it. We also use a Socks application that runs fine throught the ISA
server. It may be socks 4. I don't remember. Shane ----- Original Message

Tom,
Thanks for the quick reply. I checked into Corner Post for the Surrogate
Sockets 5.0 and still no luck on them releasing the product. The last time I
checked with them they claimed that their product would be out on the shelf in
10 days and that was back in February! Anyone have a beta copy of Surrogate
Sockets 5.0? LOL

Hi Paul,

You might try out Surrogate Sockets. That will add a SOCKS 5 component
to the ISA Server.

Subject: [isalist] Bloomberg

Hello,
Currently I'm trying to get an application called Bloomberg L.P. to run
on the client workstation. I called Bloomberg for support only to find
that they will only support SOCKS 5 for their application. I know that
SOCKS 5 is not support for ISA, but is there a way to implement this or
an application out there that will add on this feature to the ISA
server? I was unable to find clear cut instructions on implementing
their SOCKS 5 examples from the CD, and my developing skills are far
from superior. Any help or pointing in the right direction of
documentation would be most appreciated!

Paul
